The epidemic situation at home and abroad is still not optimistic. Affected by the outbreak in Myanmar, Ruili City, Yunnan announced that all residents of the city had to start home quarantine and nucleic acid testing is conducted for all residents. At present, the Yunnan Provincial Committee and Government requires all cities and departments to take strict prevention of the import of overseas epidemics as the top priority of the current epidemic prevention and control work, aiming at preventing imports from abroad and re-outbreak from within and guarding the country.

On September 15, Yunnan Ruili launched the universal screening scheme, planning to complete the nucleic acid testing of all residents in the jurisdiction in three days. As the prevention and control of the epidemic entered a "wartime state", the Hybribio Kunming Medical Laboratory in Yunnan, a subsidiary of Guangdong Hybribio Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Hybribio”), quickly prepared for the challenge. Upon receipt of the inspection task entrusted by the local authorities, the sampling team was immediately organized and rush to the China-Myanmar border to assist sample collection for Myanmar villagers around the clock, and the local government designated a helicopter to transport the samples to the Hybribio Kunming Medical Laboratory for timely and efficient nucleic acid testing. Hybribio will try its best to reduce the potential risks of the epidemic's cross-border spread, and stand on guard for the security of my country's southwest gate.

In the face of the substantial emergent testing needs, the Hybribio Group relied on its rich anti-epidemic experience and resource advantages to recruit more than 60 staff from all over the country, including doctors and technical specialists for nucleic acid testing, to form a support team for the front line. Nucleic acid extractors, PCR machine, biological safety cabinets and many other testing equipment, large quantities of testing reagents and all kinds of scarce medical supplies were shipped to Yunnan overnight. The local testing capacity was increased to a maximum of 60,000 tests per day.

In order to quickly improve the detection efficiency of Ruili, Yunnan, Hybribio urgently donated a mobile standard PCR laboratory to Ruili to solve bottlenecks of this screening task such as the large number of local specimens, no laboratory for real-time inspection, and transportation time restrictions. The mobile PCR laboratory is well-configured, scientifically partitioned, small in area, and highly flexible. It can be quickly and independently deployed in hospitals, communities, villages, airports, squares and other places to meet the temporary high-intensity testing needs during the epidemic, which scientifically builds the first line of defense!
