Recently, there has been a number of clustered epidemics in Shigatse, Tibet, with a tendency of quick spreading. Answering the calling from Shanxi Province's special office for COVID-19 epidemic control, Xi’an Hybribio Medical Laboratory departed for Shigatse, with a group of experienced testing members, Victory air-inflated laboratory and a large batch of fully automatic nucleic acid testing instruments and consumables.

Facing the urgent COVID-19 situation in Shigatse, Hybribio Group responded positively at the first time and formulated the overall plan to assist Tibet in fighting the epidemic overnight, while allocating resources such as air-inflated laboratories and automatic nucleic acid testing instruments. On August 17, "Anti-epidemic Pioneer Team for Tibet" was formed with over 60 team members in Xi’an, which consists of experienced managers, laboratory technicians, quality control experts, and IT engineers. In the afternoon of August 18, with the safe landing of TV6013 flight at Shigatse Peace Airport in Tibet, Hybribio Anti-epidemic Pioneer Team started the battle of epidemic prevention and control at the foot of Mount Everest.

After landing, the pioneer team encountered the first problem of the campaign - the special plateau environment. The average altitude of Shigatse is more than 4,000 meters above sea level, with a large temperature difference between day and night. Most of the team members from the plains area entered Tibet for the first time, and were inevitably a bit uncomfortable and needed to adjust their behavior patterns in a short time to overcome the challenges in the plateau environment.

"Our team arrived in Tibet ahead of time to adapt to the natural environment of the plateau. Although the geographical environment was rather special this time, we all stood up to the challenge, actively adapted and overcame the physiological discomfort, and we guaranteed to do our best to complete the task of epidemic prevention and control." Cheng Wei, the leader of the team and the deputy manager of Hybribio Group Shanxi Province, said that he would comply with orders, maintain strict quality control for testing, and live up to the heavy responsibility.

Even in the stage of adjusting and adapting to the environment, Hybribio's "Anti-epidemic Pioneer Team" was still working hard to advance the work process. After completing various performance tests and pre-experiments in the chamber, and sorting out the process of each aspect of the test, the Victory laboratory was officially put into use on the 26th, and took the first batch of nucleic acid test samples.
